SAVED FROM A CAR CRASH

My dream this morning was a clear reflection of what we are living as a Jewish nation.

In my dream, I heard the sound of wheels braking against the asphalt while I saw a car suddenly stopping right in front of me—just before hitting me—as if I were standing in the middle of the street.

My heart remained calm, and my lips immediately said out loud, “Thank You, Hashem, for saving us.”

I realized that my mind had offered the perfect image to describe my last days experiences: it feels as if I am being saved from a car accident multiple times a day. We are being saved from being crashed into, over and over, for seven days.

All I can say is thank You!

It is the same prayer I say when my app phone makes a strident sound, telling me in real time that the alarms are sounding in Israel, and my loved ones are running to the bomb shelters:

“Thank You, Hashem, for saving us.”

I promised my kids I would stay calm—and I am. But I didn’t agree to remove the app with the sounding alarms.

It’s not true that I cannot do anything from here.

At the very least, I can say:
“Thank You, Hashem, for saving us.”

DREAMS AND REALITY INTERTWINED

One thing I know from the years I’ve been immersed in dream analysis is the difference between an intrinsic meaning and an assigned meaning. I learned that the assigned meaning to our dreams and symbols is far more relevant and has more power over our physiques than any intrinsic meaning we may find set in other cultures or even in our own.
